CCO MCP Server¶
Maintain your SAP Customer Checkout Manager by talking to it. The CCO MCP Server exposes the Manager's REST API as MCP tools. An AI assistant such as Codex, ChatGPT Desktop, Claude Code or Claude Desktop can then search and edit articles, prices, quick selections, users and more in natural language.
An example: "Create the articles from this menu and build a quick selection with one tab per category" is an instruction to the assistant. Without the server, that would be an afternoon of clicking through the Manager.
Supported systems¶
- SAP Customer Checkout on-premise 2.0 FP21
- SAP Customer Checkout Cloud Edition 3.x
Both editions work with the same tools; the server detects the edition from the configured authentication. Several Managers, including a mix of on-premise and Cloud, can be configured side by side, see Configuration.
What it can do¶
- Articles and prices: search, read, create (including multiple price lists and tax assignment), update, set prices per price list.
- Quick selections: create structures, add category tabs, place article, function and text buttons, upload button images, deep-clone a complete quick selection, assign it to org nodes.
- Users and org structure: list Manager users, create POS users, create org nodes.
- Table areas: list them and assign them to org nodes.
- Actions: deploy an action jar to the POS systems in a single call and track the rollout per POS.
- Reports and receipts: run sales reports as JSON ("how much revenue today?"), check day-end closings including discrepancies, list and read receipts.
- Escape hatch:
ccom_requestsends arbitrary requests to the Manager API when no dedicated tool exists for a case yet.
The complete tool list with example instructions is on the Usage page.
Prerequisites¶
- An account in the customer portal is enough for free access to the CCO MCP Server. The license comes automatically with the installation, see Operation.
- A reachable CCO Manager (FP21 on-premise or Cloud Edition) and a user or API client for it, see Configuration.
- An MCP-capable client, for example Codex, ChatGPT Desktop, Claude Code or Claude Desktop.
The server itself is a single executable for Linux, Windows and macOS. Node.js or any other runtime is not required. It runs locally on your machine and talks directly to your Manager; the portal does not receive your POS data. Tool results are passed to your AI assistant and processed by its provider.
Getting started¶
- Installation: run the install one-liner, connect the device to the portal.
- Configuration: add your Managers, easiest with
cco-mcp-server add-manager. - Register the server in your MCP client and get to work, see Usage.
